Something that Jaro and I have always loved doing together is travel. Seeing new places, sharing new experiences, trying new food… really what’s not to love? Hello! That is why we jumped on this opportunity to live abroad! For awhile now I’ve wanted to find a special way to commemorate the traveling that we have done together. And somehow combine that with my love of maps.

So we came up with this…

Yes, it’s just a framed National Geographic political map of the world. But see those little red dots? Those pushpins mark destinations that Jaro and I have been together! This whole wall of our apartment is filled with framed art that I have collected from travels, along with some special personal photos, so this map fits right in. It’s a fun and easy way to remember all the incredible places we have visited (and now lived) as a couple.

…And it also makes us realize how much more of the world we want to explore.
